PRIVACY

Short version: we collect what we need to run the tournament, we don’t sell anything, and the unsubscribe link works.

WHO WE ARE

The Covert Cup is a small annual men’s invitational golf tournament. This site and the related emails are run by the tournament organizers. If you have questions about anything on this page, write to privacy@covertcup.org.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you register, we ask for your name, email, phone number, GHIN number, and the same details for your partner. When we add you to the invitee list (before you register), we have only your name and email — given to us by another invitee or by the organizers.

When emails go out, our email vendor (Postmark) records whether the message was delivered, opened, or bounced. That’s how we know to stop sending to a dead address.

WHAT WE DO WITH IT

We use this information to run the tournament: confirm your spot, coordinate flights and tee times, share results, and handle the handful of logistics that come with putting 128 players on a course.

We share player data with Unknown Golf, the platform we use to run scoring during the event. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with sponsors, marketers, course staff, or anyone else who isn’t directly involved in running the tournament.

EMAIL AND HOW TO MAKE IT STOP

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it once and we’ll stop — no follow-up, no “are you sure,” no resurrecting your address next year. If the link ever fails, email privacy@covertcup.org and we’ll handle it manually.

COOKIES AND TRACKING

The public site doesn’t use marketing cookies, analytics beacons, or third-party trackers. The admin area uses a single session cookie for sign-in.

CHANGES

If this notice changes in a way that affects what we do with your information, we’ll update this page and note the date below.
